The Website was developed and is run by The Women's Foundation (TWFHK, we, our or us). By accessing or using this Website, you confirm that you have read and agree to comply with Terms of Use, together with the Privacy Policy and all applicable laws and regulations (the Terms).

1. Minors

If you are under the age of 18, then you must:

(a) review these Terms with your parent or guardian before visiting or using the Website to make sure that you and your parent or guardian understand these Terms and agree to them;
(b) obtain permission from your parent or guardian before undertaking any of the following activities:
(i) sending any individual personal information or any information about others (ii) entering any online course, workshop or activity available on the Website (iii) Once permission is obtained, you should only submit a first name or initials to be publicly posted on the Website. A full name should never be used.

2. Website Use and Restrictions

Content on the Website is provided to you for your information and personal, non-commercial, use (including to share with teaching colleagues) only.

You shall not:

(a) Use, copy, modify, distribute, transmit, broadcast, display, sell, license, de-compile or otherwise exploit the Website or Content except as authorized by these Terms or with prior written authorisation;
(b) disrupt the Website or any associated servers or networks;
(c) display, post, submit, publish, upload or transmit an Account Holder Submission that is deceptive, defamatory, threatening, pornographic, discriminatory, breaches any Intellectual Property Rights, creates a risk to a person's safety or health, impersonates another person, violates any law, or is inappropriate or fraudulent.

3. Account.

To use some of the services of the Website, you may have to create an account (Account). You agree not to create an Account for anyone else or use the account of another without their permission. When creating your Account, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are solely responsible for the activity that occurs in your Account, and you must keep your Account password secure. You must notify TWFHK immediately of any breach of security or unauthorised use of your Account. If you wish to delete your Account you may send an email request to TWFHK at ggt@twfhk.org. TWFHK may suspend or delete your Account if you breach these Terms.

4. Intellectual Property Rights.

The content on the Website, including without limitation, the text, documents, curricula, articles, brochures, descriptions, products, software, graphics, photos, sounds, videos, compilation of data, interactive features and other materials (the Materials), and Account Holder Submissions, as defined below (together with the Materials, the Content), and the trademarks, service marks and logos contained in the Content (Marks), are the property of TWFHK and/or its licensors and may be protected by applicable copyright or other intellectual property laws.

5. Account Holder Submissions.

(a) The Website may permit the submission, sharing and publishing of Content, as well as information, comments, ratings by you and other users via an Account (Account Holder Submissions). You shall be solely responsible for your Account Holder Submissions and the consequences of posting, publishing or uploading them. We reserve the right in our sole discretion, to monitor, edit, remove, delete, and/or remove any and all Content posted on the Site (including Account Holder Submissions) at any time and for any reason.
(b) You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights and permissions to use and authorise TWFHK to use all copyrights, trademarks, patents, know how or other intellectual property rights (Intellectual Property Rights) in and to your Account Holder Submissions to enable inclusion and use on the Website under these Terms.
(c) By submitting the Account Holder Submissions to TWFHK, you hereby grant TWFHK a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, sublicenseable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display the Account Holder Submissions in connection with the Website and TWFHK's operations. You also hereby grant each user of the Website non-exclusive right to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display and perform actions in accordance with these Terms.
(d) You acknowledge that when accessing and using the Website you will be exposed to Account Holder Submissions from a variety of sources, and that TWFHK is not responsible for the accuracy, usefulness, safety, or Intellectual Property Rights of such Account Holder Submissions. We are not responsible for any claims you may have against us for this type of content including if you find any objectionable.

6. Privacy.

You agree that we may collect and use personal information that you provide or make available to us in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

7. Copyright Policy.

Any content included on the Website that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party will be removed from the Website as soon as possible after we are made aware of such infringement. If you are the owner of intellectual property rights, or are authorised to act on behalf of the owner report any alleged infringements by emailing a Notice of Copyright Infringement to ggt@twfhk.org. We will take whatever action, in our sole discretion, we deem appropriate, including the removal of the challenged content.

8. Disclaimer of Liability

(a) The Content and information contained on this website is for general information and educational purposes only and is subject to change without notice. TWFHK makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability or availability with respect to the Website, Content or Account Holder Submissions.
(b) TWFHK will not be liable for any false, inaccurate, inappropriate or incomplete information presented in the Content or on the Website or any use or misuse of or reliance on any information or Content of the Website.
(c) Due to the nature of the Internet and the technology involved, TWFHK takes no responsibility for and will not be liable for the Website or any Content being deleted, corrupted or temporarily unavailable due to technical issues, viruses or breach of security (or otherwise) beyond its control or for any loss or damage suffered as a result of the use of or access to, or inability to use or access this Website.
(d) This Website contains information and Content from third parties and other users and users may link this Website to other sites. TWFHK takes no responsibility for content or operation of any other website that may be hyperlinked to the Website and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from your interaction with, reliance on or use of such third party websites.
(e) To the extent permitted by law, in no circumstances shall TWFHK be liable to you or any other third parties for any loss or damage (including, without limitation, damage for loss of business or loss of profits) arising directly or indirectly from your use of or inability to use, the Website or Content.
(f) We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage incurred by you as a result of your or any Website User's failure to comply with these Terms.
(g) You acknowledge that TWFHK is not responsible for Account User Submissions or conduct of any Website user.

9. General

(a) These Terms, and any rights and licenses granted under these Terms, may not be transferred or assigned by you but may be assigned (or obligations delegated) by TWFHK without restriction.
(b) We may update or amend these Terms from time to time. Any updates or amendments will be posted on the Website. By continuing to use this Website, you agree to be bound by the terms of these updates or amendments.
(c) These Terms and the relationship between you and TWFHK shall be governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China.
(d) In case of any discrepancy between the English version and Chinese version of these Terms, the English version shall prevail.

The Women's Foundation (TWFHK, us, we) is committed to protecting your privacy and to ensuring that all personal data provided to us is handled in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO). This Privacy Policy governs how TWFHK uses personal data (defined below) that we collect, receive and store about individuals in connection with the use of the website www.ggthk.org (the Website).

TWFHK does not host the services which is operated by third party service providers that we engage. This means that personal data that you provide us or that we collect from you (as further described below) is hosted with such third party service providers on servers that they own or control and as such you are consenting to your data being transferred to such third party service providers whose servers may be located outside of Hong Kong.

Purpose of collecting and keeping personal data

1.TWFHK will use personal data collected from you for the purposes for which it was collected.
2.TWFHK does not require you to provide personal data in order to have access to general information available on the Website. If you are interested in receiving more information on the Website or our programmes you may submit personal data such as your name, job title, work or student status, email address, telephone number etc. via "Contact Us" email or form. In order to use certain services that we offer via the Website you may be required to create an account (Account). If you create an Account you will be required to provide us with personal data such as name, email address, password that you will use to access the Account and other information such as job title, company details, age, gender, school, demographic information, areas of interest, comments, opinions and any other personal data you choose to provide to us as part of Account registration process and in connection with ongoing use of the Account and the Website.
3. TWFHK may use your personal data as outlined above for one or more of the following purposes, including but not limited to:

A. For users who have submitted "Contact Us" information, to contact a user interested in receiving information about the Website in general, TWFHK or our programmes
B. For users who have an Account:
1) the administration and provision of our programme, services, content and information on the Website and its use and associated offsite programme elements including without limitation informing you of information, policies, changes to our terms and conditions, updates, programmes, information on events, workshops, trainings, work shadowing, volunteering and other programme elements provided by TWFHK and/or partner organisations which may be of interest to you and associated administration, registration, management. communication and enquiries whether through the Website, via mail, electronic mail, telephone, SMS, fax or online;
2) internal business purposes including data analysis and audits, assessment of the quality, user experience and impact of the Website and our programmes including ongoing programme and Website planning and improvements including through surveys, research, feedback collection whether via mail, electronic mail, telephone, SMS, fax or online etc.

C. For users who have an Account or opt in for marketing communications: the provision of updates and direct marketing (via fax, email, direct mail, telephone or other means of communication including social media online, or e-newsletters) in relation to our programmes, the Website, research, courses, volunteer opportunities, workshops and events, promotions, offers, opportunities for sponsorship, networking and donations, advocacy campaigns, opinion sharing, news updates, information and other related services or benefits provided by TWFHK and/or other partners or organisations.

Information Available to Website Users
Any content that you post on or via the Website or via Account Holder Submissions (Website Communications) may be publicly available to other Website users. The notices that we provide on the Website are intended to inform you which information will be made available to other Website Users via Website Communications. If you publish personal data including contact information in any Website Communications, you may receive unsolicited messages from other users of the Website or any third party. We encourage all users of the Website to only post information that you are sure you wish to be accessible.

Privacy of personal data and disclosure

1. The security of your personal data is important to us. However, no data transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is guaranteed to be secure from intrusion. We follow generally accepted industry standards and safeguards and endeavour to use reasonably acceptable means to keep your personal data strictly confidential and securely kept.
2. TWFHK will not divulge, sell, trade or rent personal data to external parties for their own purpose.
3. However, TWFHK may disclose or transfer such personal data where such disclosure is necessary to satisfy the above purposes, or a directly related purpose, for which the data was collected (including without limitation hosting, telecommunications, IT and computer services, administration or other services) including to locations outside Hong Kong, to:

(a) Hany third party service provider or partner that assists us with our business operations and to provide or operate the Website including hosting and who have agreed to the processing and use of personal data in accordance with this privacy policy and any other person under a duty of confidentiality to TWFHK including without limitation, TWFHK staff, agents and other organisations which have undertaken to keep such information confidential; and

Access and correction of personal data

1. The provision of your personal data to TWFHK is on voluntary basis.
2. In accordance with the PDPO, you may request access to your personal data held by TWFHK. A charge may be imposed to cover the cost of photocopying personal data at the rate approved by the Secretary for Financial Services and Treasury.
3. You are entitled to request access to and correct your personal data held by TWFHK, and request us to cease to use of your personal data at any time without charge.
4. You may opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions contained in the marketing communications or contacting TWFHK at ggt@twfhk.org with your full name and contact details.
5. If you are in a EU Member State, you have the right, subject to certain limitations or restrictions, under the data protection laws in the EU to:

(a) request access to and rectification or erasure of your personal data;
(b) obtain restriction of processing or to object to processing of your personal data; and
(c) the right to data portability.

Individuals in the EU also have the right to lodge a complaint about the processing of their personal data with their local data protection authority.
