Have you ever wondered how the buildings around you are constructed? Or how animals, and helicopters from around the world are transported to Hong Kong? Furthermore, what technologies are behind Hong Kong's most important and critical infrastructure?
Come and experience the expanding Terminal 2 at Hong Kong International Airport, and see how modern technology is making buildings smarter, safer, and more environmentally friendly. Then, get to know colleagues from the world's largest multi-level air cargo terminal and understand how they achieve automation and efficient operations in the air cargo industry through innovative technology.
You will have the opportunity to visit two companies under Jardine Matheson: Gammon Construction Limited and Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (HACTL). In this event, participant will
- Get a rare opportunity to see and understand life on a construction site and learn about engineering
- Experience firsthand technologies used to make constructing buildings greener and safer
- Learn how 3D building models assist in the construction and engineering process
- Visit the world's largest air cargo terminal and learn how cargo operation supports the logistics in HK with the automatic storage system
- Explore the application of robotics use and Sustainability initiatives in cargo terminal
- Engage in conversations with professionals from various departments and gain insights into career prospects in the industry
